Laura Chaudhary, PMH-C
When I moved to Asia ten years ago, my life changed profoundly both personally and professionally. It was during this period of crossroads that I decided to pursue my lifelong interest in the human mind and mental health.
I completed a master’s degree in psychology at the University of Hong Kong, followed by clinical training at Monash University, where I earned a second master’s degree in counselling.
Since then, I have specialized in an area of mental health I care deeply about: supporting clients through pregnancy and the postpartum period. In service to this, I have completed certification as a perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C) with Postpartum Support International (USA).
I grew up in New Jersey and the Bay Area, before settling in New York. In my earlier career, I worked in fundraising for education and medical research. Prior to my studies in mental health, I completed degrees in philosophy and religion from Vassar College and Harvard University.
Having now lived in Asia for the better part of a decade - first in Hong Kong and now in Singapore – I am proud to call this region “home.”
